Dr. Liana Voia is the Director and the founder of the Hypnosis Healing Centre, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She is a dedicated practitioner with strong counselling and research skills in the science of hypnosis. She holds a PhD in Clinical Hypnotherapy (2008) and a Master of Arts in Educational Studies (with focus on Adult Education). She also completed credits in research methods and statistics, psychology, counselling, and aging at the University of Toronto, Concordia University and The University of Western Ontario. In the past, Dr. Voia worked as a teacher (with various age groups), and was a Research Assistant for the School of Nursing of The University of Western Ontario. Michael Burlacu received his Yoga Teacher Diploma from Vedanta Forest Yoga Academy in Madurai, India. His 16 years of practice and teaching of Yoga, engineering background and lengthy research experience, have helped him incorporate the scientific method into the practice and teaching of Yoga, making this Eastern discipline more accessible to the Western learners. Cathy Louise Broda is our recommended Pregnancy Yoga Practitioner for expectant women. Cathy has been teaching yoga since 1991. Her first teacher was Beryl Bender Birch who she undertook a two-year apprenticeship with in New York. While living in London, Cathy Louise taught at Astanga Yoga London and during this period, in 2000, she received Sri K Pattabhi Jois's blessing to teach Ashtanga. She also taught Vinyasa Yoga at Triyoga and did a one-year training in Pregnancy Yoga with Lynne Pinette. Cathy Louise's ongoing studies are with Nancy Gilgoff. Since 2002, Cathy Louise has been teaching at her own studio, Purple Yoga Hawaii (http://www.purpleyoga.com), in Honolulu. She had her first child in 2003 and twins in 2006. While pregnant with her first baby, she started a Pregnancy Yoga program and later added Mom & Baby Yoga. She has trained three apprentices to teach Pregnancy and Mom & Baby yoga.
